Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique
Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/17
100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit
Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which
will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely
on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you.
Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected,
preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of
the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 22 at 3PM.
All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots
purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard & Amex.

Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. Learn about the modern methods of collecting and processing the sap from the Sugar Bush, with farmer and veterinarian Julian Strauss as your guide on this one hour tour. Take home some complimentary samples of the pure amber delights of syrup and sugar!
Tour for up to eight people and must be used between February and early March of 2025. Rob Doyle, President of DCHS says, "My family was blessed with winning this unique experience last year. It was wonderful. We learned a lot. What is the window of time for tapping the trees? What does the total process entail? What are the challenges? How much can be produced? Julian was an excellent guide and educator."
