Buying at a Storage Auction

Whether you are a first time attendee or veteran to delinquent storage unit auction, it’s important to know the Terms & Conditions of the Auction and each Storage Facility is different.

 Here are a few helpful tips to make your buying experience easier:

Live Auctions

  •  Photo ID required to register.
  • Do NOT enter the unit. Preview of the unit is only allowed from the doorway. You are NOT allowed to enter the unit for any reason. No reaching in or leaning in either.
  • Bring a flashlight or use your camera flash. This is so you can see in the unit when there is poor lighting.
  • All bids are legally binding. This isn’t a TV show so if you bid, you are required to buy.
  • Bring enough cash. You won’t be allowed to leave to get more if you find something worth the money and they likely don’t accept credit cards or checks. Payment is collected by the storage facility immediately following the auction.
  • $100 cash deposit. This deposit is for each unit you purchase and is refunded after you have cleaned out the entire unit.
  • Know the pickup deadline. Some facilities expect clean out same day, others are 24 hours or up to 3 days. Every facility is different.
  • Everything must be removed from the facility. You cannot use their dumpster or leave items in hallways.

 

Online Only Auctions

  • Preview is online only.
  • All bids are legally binding. This isn’t a TV show so if you bid, you are required to buy.
  • Cash, credit cards and pre-approved checks are accepted as these payments are collected from our company. Payment is due same day by 4PM.
  • $100 cash deposit. This deposit is for each unit you purchase and is refunded after you have cleaned out the entire unit.
  • Know the pickup deadline. Most facilities allow 2 to 3 days for pickup. Every facility is different.
  • Everything must be removed from the facility. You cannot use their dumpster or leave items in hallways.
