Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/17

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 22 at 3PM.

All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard & Amex.

DCHS is located at 6282 Route 9, Rhinebeck, NY. Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. Two-hour Private Hands-On Farm Tour for up to 4 at Elk Ravine Farm in Amenia, NY.

The tour consists of a horse-drawn carriage ride (weather permitting), hands on interaction with pygmy goats, flemish giant rabbits, Sicilian donkeys, water buffalo and scottish highland cattle. Jim Archer, owner of Elk Ravine Farm writes, "In the northeast corner of Dutchess County in Amenia, New York, you can find our family’s working farm. In addition to our herd of Scottish Highland cattle, the farm is also home to our driving horses and other animals. It boasts 90 picturesque acres of pastures, meadows, woodlands, and wetlands with ponds and streams. We are proud to be part of the Dutchess Land Conservancy program."
