NYS charges a background check fee for all firearms and ammunition. The fee is $9 for firearms and $2.50 for ammunition. The NYS fee is per background check NOT per lot, will be collected directly by Civil Armory, and is in addition to transfer fees. All lots are subject to all applicable laws at the time of transfer. NOTE: Semi automatic rifles and all handguns require a license in NYS. There is a $35 transfer fee per long gun. There is a $40 transfer fee per hand gun. There is a $20 transfer fee per ammunition lot. If you fail the background check, the transfer fee still applies, and you are still required to make payment and then reconsign the lot to auction.
