Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/17

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 22 at 3PM.

All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard & Amex.

DCHS is located at 6282 Route 9, Rhinebeck, NY. Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. It is preferable to confirm an appointment time by emailing Bill Jeffway at bill.jeffway@dchsny.org

Poughkeepsie Four Corners Historic Walking Tour for 8 People

Step into the past with local historian Antonia Mauro and your group of up to 8 adults to revisit what remains and what was lost during the urban renewal movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Beginning with the mid-19th century, encounter the rich history in one of Poughkeepsie’s most interesting neighborhoods. Your walking tour will start at Main and Vassar Streets, strolling over to Mill Street, then south to Main again. Hear stories that span nearly 150 years including the Vassar Brewery, the Schrauth family and their ice cream legacy, the former Cusack Hotel, Eastman Business College, and the "Old Clock Tower" First Reformed Church.

View the facades of historic architecture including the Vassar Institute, the Cunneen Hackett Center and 19th century buildings on Mill Street, Lafayette Place and Main Street. After the tour enjoy refreshments at Zeus Brewery with your gift certificate! Tour will take place during October or November, 2025 at 2:00PM.
