Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique
Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/17
100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit
Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which
will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely
on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you.
Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected,
preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of
the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 22 at 3PM.
All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots
purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard & Amex.

Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. A private tour for a group of up to eight people of the Mt. Carmel Historic Neighborhood in Poughkeepsie, including the history of Irish and Italian immigrants, 19th century architecture, as well as the history of St. Peter's and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Churches.
Did you know there was a pin factory in Poughkeepsie? Learn about the Pelton brothers and their contributions to commerce in the first ward as we walk by their mansion and factories. Tour will be given by Antonia Mauro who grew up in the neighborhood and is a local historian and a DCHS trustee.
The Historic Mt. Carmel Walking Tour is for up to eight people, to be used on a Saturday only, between the dates of June 1 - June 29, or October 5 - November 9, 2025. Tour start time to be arranged, and also includes gift certificate to La Deliziosa on day of the tour.
