Mary Cassatt 1844-1926 “Mothers Kiss” - Mary Cassatt is an American artist born in 1844 and died in 1926, She spent many years in Paris, France creating her artworks. The print looks to be a hand pulled Aquatint etching on Arches Paper. The initials MC appear in the lower right corner. The owner purchased the prints in France in the 1990’s. The owner believes that they are from a limited-edition collectible print series released by the Bibliothèque Nationale to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the original painting and were printed by Claude Tchou & Sons from original plates. It is a beautiful print with a high quality frame. Frame size 28”x22.5”. Print size is 21.5”x16.5”. Image size is 13”x 8 ½”.
