Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/5

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Bid on this unique opportunity to sit and talk with Eileen and Antonia about our local history including Poughkeepsie. Bring your group up to 4 adults to Shadows On The Hudson in Poughkeepsie! With the majestic Hudson River behind you, become a tourist back in time as they take you on a journey to the past.

Daughter and granddaughter of two City of Poughkeepsie Historians, local history has always been a part of Eileen's life. Antonia was born in Poughkeepsie and still lives here researching and rediscovering our past in awe.

Eileen served on the DCHS Board of Trustees from 1981 to 1990. She held the office of president and in 1991 Eileen became the Executive Director until she retired in 2007. Once again a trustee, Eileen serves on the Membership Committee and loves nothing more than speaking about our local history.

Antonia served on the DCHS Board of Trustees in the 1990s. She created the Silver Ribbon Historic House Tour for the historical society. A retired art teacher from Our Lady of Lourdes High School, and a former City of Poughkeepsie Historic Districts and Landmarks Preservation Commissioner, Antonia currently serves on the DCHS Board of Trustees and is in her third year as Co-Chairperson of the DCHS Autumn Auction.

Lunch is included so bring your questions and let's talk local history! Value $300.
