Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 10/24

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

#28 – Two Night Stay at the Historic Charles Piersaull House Hyde Park, New York

Charles Sylvester Piersaull photographed much of Hyde Park during the late 19th and 20th centuries. The man behind the lens was called a “jack of all trades.” He was a fishmonger, repaired bicycles, and took photographs of people and places in town. His tiny house, still standing at 6 West Market Street, was both his home and the local fish market. Whether you are looking to explore the historic properties of Hyde Park such as the FDR or Vanderbilt Estates, soak up the incredible natural beauty of the Hudson Valley, or indulge the foodie in you, Piersaull House is an ideal base to explore the region. Our tiny house is both quirky and cozy. Piersaull House has a living/dining room and full kitchen on the main floor, and two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. Piersaull House sleeps four in one king bedroom and one double bedroom.
