Wow! Fully carved natural material handled, matched pair of straight razors fitted in flat presentation case with embossed lid ?SUPERIOR AND WARRANTED RAZORS.? C-1810-25. Typical of many of these early sets, they needed to be modernized to be useful, allowing the set to survive to this day. The original wedge blades have been hollow ground, and in the process, the name/markings removed. The fully carved scales are fitted to shaped steel liners. Note the small piece missing from the head end of one. Pretty nice for a roughly 200 year old pair.
