Complete set of Time-Life Books on the American Indian, Pickup only, Rhinebeck, NY

The American Indians Time-Life Books 23-volume set (complete, as originally published), is a wonderful series of books detailing the history, peoples and culture of the wide variety of Native Americans. The set is in "like new" condition, with no marks on the pages, no turned-down creases, no tears or other marks, and perfect bindings. Only one book has its dust jacket. There are a very few minor scuff marks on the bottoms of a few of the hard covers, a result of the books being moved in and out of a bookcase – otherwise perfect.

These books are perfect for young adults and adults alike. Each of the books is bound in a hard cover, printed on glossy paper in full color. They are illustrated with numerous maps, drawings and photographs, and run to over 170 pages. Each volume focuses on a separate group of Native Americans or aspects of Native American life. The volumes include:

Exclusive Tour for 6 people of the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company Firehouse in Dover Plains, NY

The J.H. Ketcham Hose Co., Inc. in Dover Plains is a volunteer fire company that has proudly served the community since 1903. Alongside the state of the art firetrucks and equipment, Dover Historian and former fire chief Brian Kelly has assembled a spectacular firefighting exhibit, chronicling the fire fighting history of Dover.

Tour the historic collection, including a restored 1927 Seagrave Suburbanite fire truck, paintings by J.E. Arthur Powell, G. Glenn Newell and other early 20th Century local artists, and other displays. NOTE: There is a steep stairway and no elevator to tour the second floor. The two-story brick building on Route 22 in Dover Plains, notable for the cannons and original fire gong in front, is named for John Henry Ketcham, who served as General in the Union Army during the American Civil War and was a United States Representative from NY for over 33 years and United States Senator in 1860 and 1861. You won't want to miss this unique opportunity to tour the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company.
