“WHITE WOMAN” STRING PUPPET. Ghana. Collected in Accra in 2004. This puppet is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips and knees. Dressed in African print cloth with a kerchief on her head, she carries a baby in a sling on her back. Collected in Accra, Ghana in 2004 where it was identified by the puppeteer as a “white woman”.
