Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/9

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 14 at 3PM.

All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover & Amex.

Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. Private Tour for 6 at the Hopewell Depot Museum, Hopewell Junction, NY

The Depot Museum tour includes the Depot building, the recently acquired and refurbished caboose, and the replica of the signal tower. The tour can accommodate up to 6 adults and children, and will be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and time between April and November of 2026. Note: Several steep stairs lead to the second-story of the signal tower, and a few gradual stairs lead up into the caboose.

The Hopewell Depot Museum's mission is: to provide a historic museum and park for the education and recreation of the community of Hopewell Junction, town of East Fishkill, and Dutchess County; to accurately reflect the facilities and purpose of the Hopewell Depot in its prime by collecting, preserving, and sharing of written records, photographs, oral histories, and physical artifacts; to provide an added tourist attraction for the town and county to attract visitors, promote local businesses, and foster Dutchess County heritage; and to be the southeastern gateway and visitor center for the William R.
