Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique
Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/9
100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit
Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which
will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely
on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you.
Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected,
preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of
the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 14 at 3PM.
All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots
purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover & Amex.

Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. Ira Gutner packed his bags, left a successful career in New York City's Garment District and moved upstate to open Samuel's of Rhinebeck, a boutique candy and coffee shop in the heart of bucolic Dutchess County. Ira named his shop after his late Uncle Sam who introduced him as a boy to penny candy.
