Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/9

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Payment must be completed by Friday, November 14 at 3PM.

All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased. Payment methods are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover & Amex.

DCHS is located at 6282 Route 9, Rhinebeck, NY. Normal open hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during which time you can take a close up look at many of the physical items in the auction. Private Historic Walking Tour with Historian Shannon Butler, Poughkeepsie, NY

The City of Poughkeepsie is full of fascinating history and characters, and it's Shannon Butler's job to tell their stories. Choose from one of three tours lasting 2 hours each:

1. Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Tour - Take a guided walking tour through the historic center of the cemetery where we visit some of Poughkeepsie's most interesting dead.

2. Historic Union Street and Beyond - A guided walking tour down one of the city's oldest streets and neighborhoods.

3. Academy Street Historic District - A guided walking tour covering the Victorian architecture and residents of Academy Street.

Tours are for all ages. There is a tour maximum of 20 people allowed. The cemetery tour does have some hills, and the Union street tour is uphill. Winning bidder to choose one tour which will be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and time between the months of May and October of 2026. VALUE $250
