Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) Fundraising Auction of Unique Experiences and Gift Certificates Ending 11/5

100% of the auction proceeds benefit the DCHS. Every lot sells to the highest bidder. Payment will be made directly to DCHS, a 501-C3 Not for Profit Corporation so no sales tax will be charged. There is a 15% Buyers Premium which will also be going to the DCHS.

The DCHS does not receive any Federal, State or County funding. It relies solely on donations, membership dues and private sponsorships from people like you. Please support the 100+ year old “Mission” of the DCHS that has “collected, preserved and interpreted the history of Dutchess County, NY, from the period of the arrival of the first Native Americans until the present day.”

Two Tickets to 2024 Mount Gulian Historic Site Gala: Dinner and Conversation with Lewis & Clark.

The Annual Mount Gulian Historic Site Gala will be held onsite at their Beacon area, Hudson Riverfront 18th century home and Dutch barn on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 4:30 – 9:00 PM.

This is a wonderful annual event that will feature Lewis & Clarke as portrayed by actors from the American Historical Theatre. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark regale audiences with stories of calm bravery in the face of danger, determination in the face of overwhelming odds, and good, old-fashioned adventure from the adventures of the Corps of Discovery. The interplay between the distinct personalities of the Captains made them a leadership team unsurpassed in American history. Those same differences in personality are now the ingredients for an entertaining stage performance that mixes humor with facts that allows audiences of all ages to truly enjoy an educational experience.

The evening will showcase a catered affair, including a sumptuous four-course dinner based on some of their favorite foods. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served on the scenic riverside lawn prior to dinner. Auction winner must contact Mount Gulian to receive an invitation. Value $350
