Bring your group up to 4 people on this Exclusive Tour of The J.H. Ketcham Hose Company Firehouse in Dover Plains with Light Refreshments!

The J.H. Ketcham Hose Co., Inc. in Dover Plains, N.Y. is a volunteer fire company that has proudly served the community since 1903. The two-story brick building on Route 22 in Dover Plains, notable for the cannons and old fire gong out front, is named after John Henry Ketcham who served as a general in the Union Army during the American Civil War, was a United States representative from N.Y. for over 33 years and a member of the U.S. Senate in 1860 and 1861. Ketcham provided funding for the purchase of two hose carts when the fire company was organized.

While enjoying wine and cheese, step back in time as you tour the fire company's beautifully displayed collection of antique firefighting equipment, including an antique fire truck curated by local historian Brian Kelly, and compare with state-of-the-art equipment used today. Upstairs are paintings by J.E. Arthur Powell, G. Glenn Newell and other artists who lived and painted in Dover Plains, along with many historical artifacts that belonged to J.H. Ketcham and the town.

A tour of the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company is a rare opportunity and should not be missed! Value $250.
