Your host, Rob Doyle, the president of the Dutchess County Historical Society will lead your group up to six people on an interesting historical tour of New Hamburg, pointing out and highlighting key structures and historic happenings over three centuries of the Hamlet's history. The last component will be viewing the New Hamburg waterfront by boat. Captain Rob, a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain, will cruise with you and your guests along the outside of New Hamburg from White’s Marina in his 24’ “Hudson Views” 2021 boat. Cruising out from the dock you will discover the beautiful modern home on “Rabbit Island,” the 1750 stone home “Farmer’s Landing,” the bay where Hendrik Hudson anchored his ship “Half Moon” in 1609 and the New Hamburg Yacht Club, established in 1869 as an “Ice Boat” club. All these historic sites are viewed from the Hudson River, nicknamed the “River of Destiny.” Rob encourages the purchaser to feel free to bring their own snacks and drinks with an onboard cooler provided. This one of a kind, unique experience would make a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one for a special occasion. (This experience is not available to purchase other than here, at auction). Redeemable between June and October in 2023 or 2024 at the buyer’s option. Purchaser to allow three hours for this unique group experience on a date and time to be mutually determined with Rob Doyle.
