Chair allegedly belonging to notorious Norwegian WWII leader and Nazi collaborator Vidkun Quisling. Per the family, the 17th C wooden armchair was purchased at auction in Norway in 1946. It has a small brass plaque in Norwegian that translates basically to "Bought at auction 9th February 1946 from Quisling at Gimle". Gimle was what Quisling called his residence. We have included a black and white photo of Quisling's library from Wikipedia that shows similar chairs in the background.
