Straight Razor. Schmachtenberg Bros. Solingen, Germany. A very ornate cast aluminum handle having a goddess like woman on the front. Figural die cast aluminum handled straight razors are quite rare as aluminum was a new and expensive alloy at the time these Art Nouveau razors were popular. This would have been the top of their line for this maker. Rare.

A matched pair of Straight Razors having fully etched blades: THE ORIGINAL AND TRUE PIPE RAZOR MANUFACTURED ONLY BY GEORGE WOSTENHOLM & SON WASHINGTON WORKS SHEFFIELD. Both have the stamped trademark of a pipe on the tangs. Both have mottled clear horn handles. Very nice.
